quick photos of Marie Antoinette, Wednesday Addams and little Rose

I admire the doll artists so much. I would love to be able to sculpt a face. I have tried a few times:-)

My lovely Marie Antoinette sculpted by Sylvia Mobley .

She is porcelain and so very dainty.. I always forget how tiny her dolls and animals are until I see them. She was painted, wigged and dressed by Todd Kurger I tried to show all the detail she has. Hope some of it comes through in the photos..

Todd told me he used silk taffeta and antique lace on the dress..

Todd finished her stocking and shoes even though they are under her dress and can't be seen unless I lift her dress.. I just LOVE... that..

This is the start of my Wednesday Addams doll buy Soraya Merino .. I already am so loving her face..

.. Little Rose by Pat Benedict . I have had her for a few years and had planned to put her in a haunted house I wanted. But I think that is going to be too big of a project for the near future. So I have decided to maybe make her Wednesday’s little sister. I know Wednesday did not have a sister.. As far as I know?? I never really watched the TV series.. I know it is shameful of me.. Heheh.. Maybe someone out there in Blog land can enlighten me. I am trying to watch them on Hulu.. But I just love Christina Ricci’s character on the movies.. I think she will be going in a crib I have. She is surrounded by a few spooky items I have been collecting for the haunted house and will probably now go in Wednesday’s Room box.

  1. Was the whole thing a commission Ericka, as in the special porcelain sculpt too? I love the wig and those tiny dainty shoes the very best of all. Just delightful!

I also love how you have draped the fabric on the end of the chaise lounge. :o)

    Michelle xx

  2. Great dolls you have Ericka!:) Love the detiles of Marie Antoinette - beautiful photos in semi shades.:)

  3. Michelle.. Todd has a few of Sylvia's molds to work from. I just told him I wanted a Marie Antoinette and gave him a few photos I liked:-)
he knows Sylvia really well but I noticed you can buy some of her casts on her web page.
Sylvia also makes some of the most wonderful animals. I don't have any but would like to own some. They have amazing detail.

  4. Just beautiful, the doll has all the elegance of Marie Antoniette .Todd Kruger did a marvelous job, especially how he wigged her hair.He is really an artist!Jeannette

  5. Absolutely stunning Erika. She looks the personification of haughty sophistication. can't wait to see how you build the scene around her.

  6. Wow! What gorgeous detail! Tiny shoes just are SO delicious and hers are so perfect!!! And her hair is impressive! Amazing work! I have seen one or two of Todd Kreugers' dolls but only on others blogs....never in real life.... they seem to have beautiful amazing precise details.

  7. Beautiful doll and dress, lovely soft colours!!
