Gothic Potion Cabinet in Miniature

More than a month since I last posted.. I have returned from New Orleans with some new inspirations and some photos I will share at a later date.

I have a few new items to show in the next few weeks.. Wanted to share a Gothic Potion Cabinet I completed. Really very happy with how it turned out. The pottery bottles are all hand made by me from polymer clay.

above and below are a few new bottles I have created.. Will be making more of these soon..

I also wanted to share that my Friend Patricia Paul has started a blog.. You can see it here:

Many of you already know her creations, but if you are not familiar with her she makes spooky and unsual miniatures pieces of art that so wonderful.. Below her Gargoyle bead...

Miniature Open Books and Hidden Potion Books

A few new books I finally got around to photographing. They are in my Etsy shop right now. I have some special orders to finish so I probably won't have any new items to show for a few weeks. But I will be posting some photos of the special orders. I also have a Dollhouse Miniature article and an American Miniaturist article to show off in the next few days:-)

Group photo of all the open books

A few of my "hidden potion" books above and below.

ABOVE: This was a special order MSD Dolfie sized book that I made. I am proud of how it turned out.

Above:  Leonardo da Vinci open books. Two of these are special order with a "flying craft" theme. They will be going to a museum in Argentina. Hope to have some photos of that.

Above and Below: some of my gold detailed or "Illuminated" medieval books.

Miniature Potion Bottles

Miniature Potion Bottles
A new batch of miniature potion bottles for sale. These are really just as fun to make as the "real size" bottles, and they don't take up any room. He!!
Included are Dragon embryos and some new "fiji mermaid" bottles. I also have finished some hanging bottles in this batch.

Halloween Prop Potion Bottles

Halloween Prop Potion Bottles
I finally got around taking some photos of my "real size" potion bottles. I made these just for fun to display around my house. I have been collecting the bottles for a long time. I had WAY too much fun making them.
The labels are the same labels I made for my miniatures. I thought it might be fun for everyone to see a larger version of the graphic. You can see much more of the details.
I hope to add more every year. I still need to fill a few of the bottles. Trying to deiced what would be best liquid to use? Maybe I will have to dump them out and refill them every year. Today I bought one of fake snakes that grow larger when you put them in water. I am going to try and use them in one of the bottles. I do keep a vanity in my room with Halloween theme items all year around. But I kind of have a raven or black bird them for my Halloween decor.

Hopefully tomorrow I will have some photos to sow of my new "mini" potion bottles. I have spend too much time playing with my real size bottles.

I just realized I forgot to put my "black death" potion bottle in the photo. It has a rubber rat inside:-)
