Gothic Potion Cabinet in Miniature

More than a month since I last posted.. I have returned from New Orleans with some new inspirations and some photos I will share at a later date.

 
I have a few new items to show in the next few weeks.. Wanted to share a Gothic Potion Cabinet I completed. Really very happy with how it turned out. The pottery bottles are all hand made by me from polymer clay.

Medieval Illuminating desk Commission

Hello everyone... Some finished photos of a commission I am very proud of. 

A 15th century style Medieval Illuminating desk. An illuminated manuscript is a manuscripts decorated with gold or silver, but can also refer to any decorated or illustrated manuscript. 

They have been dated back to AD 400 to 600. Mostly religious.

 The painting (on the right) depicts the bridge and Church of Our Lady, in Bruges, Belgium. That is where the tomb of Mary of Burgundy is found. The Mary of Burgundy theme also continues in the open book shown on the top of the desk. These were some personal touches that were important to my collector. I enjoy the details when completing projects.

Miniature Vampire Hunter Cabinet

Something for Halloween...

Miniature Vampire Hunter Cabinet - I really like how this turned out so I thought I would show it off. I made the whole thing form scratch. It is a version of my Apothecary Cabinet. I wanted to find a way to incorporate a vampire skull into a vampire hunting kit. I think it worked out well and it has a bit of Victorian look to it.

Thought this may be a good way to keep everyone current with my most recent creations.
Not very good a writing about myself or my art but I thought I would give it a try.

Here is my most recent.. A curiosity cabinet. I have been thinking of making one of this for awhile. I had so much fun making it I am thinking of making a whole curiosity shop for myself..
